Age Requirement
Individuals under the age of 18 (including infants) will not be permitted on the exhibit floor during move-in or move-out, regardless of affiliation or circumstances. During the Wednesday evening Welcome Reception, no one under the age of 21 is allowed in the exhibit hall. |
Aisles
The aisles are the property of IPC Show Management. Aisles must not be obstructed at any time. Any portion of a booth display, product, or demonstration may not extend into any aisle. |
Alcohol
Any exhibitors planning to distribute alcohol from their booth in the exhibit hall must obtain a daily liquor license from the Schaumburg Village Hall. The Schaumburg Village Hall is located at 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, IL. The exhibitor must put the request on their company’s letterhead and the license will be processed in the name of the company. The exhibitor needs to provide the date, hours, and reason for the event, a contact name and phone number and the name and location of the event on that letter. Additionally, there are additional forms that must be completed in the office of the Liquor Commissioner/Village President. After approval, the exhibitor will be given a liquor license that must be displayed at their booth during the duration of their event. The booth may be inspected by the Schaumburg Police Department at any time. |
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that all displays be accessible to persons with disabilities and each exhibiting company is solely responsible for ensuring that its display complies with the ADA. |
Attire
Company representatives (models, booth personnel, etc.) must be appropriately clothed and dressed in good taste at all times. Any representative wearing costumes or banners containing company advertising must wear an outer wrap any time they leave the exhibitor's booth. The use of "human arrows" is prohibited. Distribution of giveaways, handouts, and any type of promotion must be conducted within the confines of the exhibitor's booth. |
Authority of Show Management
IPC Show Management shall have the power to adopt, amend and enforce all show rules, and regulations with respect to the kind, nature, and eligibility of exhibitors adopted by it or set forth herein. Show Management has the power to enforce and amend all rules and regulations. IPC Show Management’s decision on such matters shall be final. |
Badges and Exhibitor Personnel
Admission will be by official event badge only. Identification badges are not transferable. Only contracted exhibitors shall receive “Exhibitor” designated badges. Exhibitors’ customers and contractor personnel may not be badged as booth personnel. The exhibitor shall have an authorized representative present at the exhibition throughout all exhibit periods and during the installation and dismantling of the exhibit. False certification of an individual as an exhibitor’s representative, misuse of an exhibitor’s badge, or any other method or device used to assist unauthorized personnel to gain admittance to the exhibit floor will be just cause for expulsion from the event. |
Balloons and Helium Filled Items
Balloons may be used for display purposes only and are to be installed by a professional for decoration, and must remain securely anchored to the exhibit. The balloon may be no larger than 36 inches in diameter and must have approval from IPC Show Management, the Facility Services manager, and the Fire Marshal. Metallic (Mylar-type) balloons are prohibited at all times. Balloons shall not be given away or sold. Balloons may not be released into the atmosphere from the Center. All balloons must be removed at the end of the show. The exhibiting company will be responsible for any charges incurred for the retrieval of balloons released into the atmosphere or for failing to remove balloons after the event. |
Booth Size
In keeping with IPC’s mission to provide a cost-effective forum for the electronics interconnect industry, the maximum booth size for exhibitors is 1,000 square feet. |
Carpeting and Cleaning
Carpeting and cleaning are not included with your booth package. In order to maintain a professional show floor appearance, all booths must be carpeted or covered with an appropriate temporary floor covering. The convention center’s concrete floor cannot be bare in any part of the exhibit hall. Show Management does not provide cleaning or vacuuming within booths at any time.
The amount of machinery and resulting debris during move-in and installation will affect the cleanliness of your booth and carpeting. It is highly recommended that you protect your floor covering during move-in by purchasing Visqueen (plastic covering), as well as order cleaning services before the show opens. |
Code of Conduct
Treat other exhibitors with the same respect that you would like to receive from them. Any unsportsmanlike, unethical, illegal or disruptive conduct, such as tampering with another party’s exhibit or engaging in corporate espionage will not be tolerated. All such actions should be reported to IPC Show Management immediately. When such conduct is discovered, the offender will be immediately removed from the exhibition, and the offenders’ company will be prohibited from participating in the Space Draw Lottery for the following year. Horse-play of any kind will not be tolerated during the event. Security has the authority to eject any person that is behaving in an unprofessional manner. |
Copyrighted Materials
Each exhibitor is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits to use live or recorded music, photographs or other copyrighted material in the exhibitor’s booth or display.

Contests, Lotteries & In-Booth Promotions
Exhibitors shall not conduct contests, raffles, lotteries or other promotional measures that require winner to be present at a specified location and time. All promotional drawings must be approved by IPC Show Management. Requests must be in writing, sent to Sarah Martino by September 16, 2009. |
Damage to Property
Exhibitors are liable for any damage caused to building floors, walls, or columns, to standard or rented booth equipment, and to other exhibitor’s property. Exhibitors may not apply paint, lacquer, adhesive or other coatings to building floors, walls or columns, or standard or rented booth equipment. Holes may not be drilled, cored or punched in any part of the building.
Exhibitors are responsible for damage to uncrated or improperly packed shipments, concealed damage, loss or theft of material after delivery to the booth or before material is picked up for return shipment. Exhibitors are required to file any reports of damage with the freight foreman prior to leaving the show. |
Demonstrations
Demonstration areas must be organized within the exhibitor’s space so as not to interfere with any traffic aisles, and sampling or demonstration tables must be placed a minimum of 2'0" (60cm) from the aisle line. Should spectators or samplers interfere with the normal traffic flow in the aisle or overflow into neighboring exhibits, Show Management will have no alternative but to request that the presentation or sampling be stopped completely.
All product demonstration involving any moving and potentially hazardous machines, displays, or parts, must have hazard barriers to prevent accidental injury to spectators. Demonstrations must always be supervised by exhibitor personnel who can stop the demonstration in the event of an emergency. All demonstrations involving potentially hazardous by-products, such as dust, fumes, sparks, or flames, must be approved by the Clark County Fire Marshal.
Private demonstrations can be held after show hours on Wednesday, and before show hours on Thursday. Additional restrictions apply. See Off-Hours Booth Activity for details. |

Exhibit Hall Access
Badges are required to gain access to the exhibit hall, and must be visible at all times. Exhibitor Registration is located outside the exhibit hall, near the Exploration foyer.

If admittance to the exhibit floor is required at any other time, permission must be obtained from Show Management, and exhibitors must remain in their booth once they are admitted. Special Work permits can be obtained from the on-site show office. The Special Work Permit must include a list of the personnel who are staying, and all exhibitor personnel must remain in their booth until they are ready to exit the hall. Re-entry will not be allowed after a reasonable hour, which will be stated when permission to remain “after hours” is granted. |
Exclusive Services
For various reasons such as the nature of the service, exclusive use agreements in the facility, or to maintain control and safety of the exhibit floor, the following services must be performed by official contractors:

Exhibitor Appointed Contractors (EAC)
Show Management, acting on behalf of all Exhibitors and in the best interest of the exposition, has appointed Official Service Contractors to perform and provide necessary services and equipment. Official Service Contractors are appointed to:
- Ensure the orderly and efficient installation and removal of the overall exposition,
- Assure the distribution of labor to all exhibitors according to need,
- Provide sufficient labor to satisfy the requirements of exhibitors and for the exposition itself,
- See that the proper type and limits of insurance are in force
- Avoid any conflict with local union and/or exhibit hall regulations and requirements.
The Official Service Contractors will provide all usual trade show services, including labor. Exceptions are:
- Supervision may be provided by the exhibitor.
- The exhibitor may appoint an exhibit installation contractor or display builder
- Exhibitors must submit notification of any and all organizations, other than those designated as Official Contractors, who are proposed for the performance of any services for the exhibitor. All Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) labor must be pre-approved by Show Management.
If an exhibitor wishes to use the services of a contractor not on the official contractor list (with the exception of a carrier), the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Notification Form must be completed by the exhibitor by August 14, 2009. All Exhibitor Appointed Contractors must submit their original Certificate of Insurance to Show Management by August 28, 2009. Admission to the show floor will be denied if EAC Notification and/or a Certificate of Insurance are not on file. Exhibitors and Exhibitor Appointed Contractors must adhere to the EAC Terms & Conditions. |
Exhibitor Approval Application—Mandatory
The Village of Schaumburg requires all exhibitors to complete an Exhibitor Approval Application. This mandatory form must be returned to fax +1 847-303-4323 by August 31, 2009. |
Fire Regulations
Please note, the following information and requirements could change by the Cook County Fire Department without prior notice. All information is subject to Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center approval as well as the Cook County Fire Department prior to production or installation on property.
Special permits
Written approval by the Village of Schaumburg Fire Marshal is required for the display and/or use of the following:
- Display or operation of any heat producing device, open flame device, torches or other forms of ignition.
- Display or operation of any electrical, mechanical or chemical device deemed hazardous by the Fire Department.
- Use or store flammable liquids, compressed gases, or other hazardous materials.
- Use of welding or cutting equipment for demonstration.
- Enclosed and/or multi-story exhibit booths
- Vehicle displays
- Smoke/fog/haze machines
- Any other equipment or process that increases the risk to fire and life safety.
No hazardous displays shall be permitted in the exhibit area without special approval issued by the Schaumburg Fire Department. Completion of the required Exhibitor Approval Application marks the first step in the approval process.
Flame Retardant Treatments
All materials used in the construction of the booth and all decorative materials (drapery, table coverings, banners, foam board, signs, set pieces, etc.) within exhibitor booths must be non-combustible or made flame retardant. Certificates of flame retardant treatment must be submitted to the Cook County Fire Department along with samples of said materials prior to construction of booth. You must maintain copies of flame certificates on premises as the Cook County Fire Department can require verification at any time. Utilizing cardboard boxes are part of exhibits of displays is not permissible.
Booth Design/Displays
- Four copies of any multilevel exhibit must be submitted to the fire marshal 60 days prior to installation. The plans must be sealed and certified by a licensed structural engineer or architect. Floor plan must also be available on-site. The upper deck of a multilevel exhibit over 300 square feet must have no less than two remote means of egress.
- Any hardback booth must have 9" clearance from the rear boundary line of the booth, and 18" from facility walls.
- All exhibit booths must maintain clear and appropriate exits from the booth. The travel distance within any exhibit booth or exhibit enclosure to an exit access shall not exceed 50 feet. Any enclosed booth of 750 square feet or more must have a minimum of two exits as remote from each other as possible. Single level exhibit booths greater than 300 square feet shall have minimum of two exits as remote from each other as possible
- All temporary wiring must meet the requirements of the Village of Schaumburg Electrical Code. All extensions cords must be 14 gauge, 3 wire minimum. Multi-plug connectors must be UL listed with built-in overload protection. The installation of extension cords beneath carpeting, where permitted, must be performed by the RSHCC authorized personnel.
- Machinery and equipment within the exhibit hall must have necessary safeguards to protect the public from injury.
- All electrical equipment used or exhibited must be listed by an approved agency.
- All gas appliances shall by AGA approved and installed in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code and International Mechanical Code.
- Aisles and exits must be kept clean, clear and free of obstructions at all times.
- All fire strobes, fire pull stations and fire extinguisher cabinets must be left accessible and visible.
Machinery, electrical, gas and chemicals
- The painting of signs, displays or other objects are strictly prohibited inside of the facility or on RSHCC grounds.
- Machinery and equipment within the exhibit hall must have necessary safeguards to protect the public from injury.
- All electrical equipment used or exhibited must be listed by an approved agency.
- All gas appliances shall by AGA approved and installed in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code and International Mechanical Code.
- Compressed Gas cylinders are prohibited unless prior approval is obtained from the Fire Marshal. Approved cylinders must be stored in an upright position.
- Helium canisters are permitted, but only in a secured, upright position. Helium canisters must be removed during non-show hours.
- Open flame devices, candles, torches, etc. are prohibited.
- Electrical panels must have thirty inch clearance in front. All other electrical equipment (cords, plugs, etc.) must be of the approved type, and in accordance with the Uniform Fire Code and the National Electrical Code, as well as local codes.
- Any use of two-wire extension cords is prohibited. Multiple outlets and electric cords must be grounded and must not be used to exceed their listed amp rating.
- All temporary electric wiring must be accessible and free from debris and storage materials.

Hospitality Policy
For over 50 years, IPC has been consistent in its policy requesting that no one conduct or sponsor hospitality suites at IPC events. Any function that is not part of the “official program” is prohibited. The prohibited functions may include but are not limited to: banquets, breakfasts, luncheons, parties, hospitality suites, meetings, seminars, technical programs, sporting events, social functions or any other program during the event, from the first meeting to the close of the event.
What is allowed?
You are always allowed to meet with your employees and customers. However, any function during the “official program” and event hours is prohibited. Additional functions allowed, with proper authorization:
- Providing a place where only employees may eat lunch and/or unwind at the end of the day
- Staff meetings (training or informational)
- Sales representative meetings (training or informational)
- Meetings with your company's distributors or manufacturer's representatives
- Holding one-on-one customer meetings
- Treating a few customers, ten (10) people maximum (including staff) to a meal
Violations
Any company found in violation of the IPC Hospitality Policy will be subject to the following, for the following year's event:
- Company will be moved to the end of the space selection process (regardless of the lottery number drawn).
- Booth size will be reduced by 50%.
- Company may be barred from exhibiting altogether.
Meeting Room Requests
Some meeting space may be available for exhibiting companies at the Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center. Space is extremely limited and assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Meetings must receive prior authorization from IPC Show Management. Authorization for your meeting must be obtained by completing the Meeting Authorization Request Form. Occasionally, more information is needed in order to process the authorization, which may cause a delay. Once you have received an authorization, all further correspondence regarding your meeting space and meeting requirements must be communicated directly with the hotel. You are responsible for booking your own meeting room.
The Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center is obligated, under the IPC contract, to notify IPC of any requests for function space at their property during the IPC Midwest event. The hotel will require an authorization letter from IPC Show Management in accordance with the IPC Hospitality Policy. |
Intellectual Property
Each exhibitor is advised that its obligation under Section P. Copyright, Patents and Other Proprietary Intellectual Property of the exhibit space contract/application includes an affirmation that, to the best of its knowledge, it has the legal authority for its use of any intellectual property associated with any product or promotional material that it will display, offer, or otherwise use in its exhibit at the IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition and it will not knowingly infringe the intellectual property rights of another party. |
Liability and Insurance
IPC Show Management and all organizations and individuals who are employed by or associated with them in connection with the exposition will not be responsible for injury that may occur to an exhibitor or an exhibitor’s employees or agents, nor for the safety of any exhibit or other property against robbery, fire, accident, or other destructive causes. Please review the exhibit space contract, for further details.
IPC requires that each exhibitor maintain general public liability insurance against claims for personal injury, death or property damage incident to, arising out of or in any way connected With the exhibitor’s participation in the exhibition, in an amount of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for personal injury, death or property damage in any one occurrence. Such insurance maintained by the exhibitor must be issued by an insurance company reasonably acceptable to IPC Show Management, include coverage of the indemnification obligations of the exhibitor under the rules and regulations, and shall name IPC, Viper Tradeshow Services and the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center as additional insureds.
Each exhibitor acknowledges that it is responsible for obtaining, for its protection and entirely at its expense, such property insurance for its exhibit and display materials as the exhibitor deems appropriate. Any policy providing such property insurance must contain an express waiver by the exhibitor’s insurance company of any right of subrogation as to any claims against IPC and its representatives. |
Lighting
Exhibit displays must not extend into adjacent booths or aisles. Flashing lights must be in good taste and not distract from neighboring exhibits. |
Merchandise Leaving the Show Floor
A business card will be required at the point of exit for any material being removed from the exhibit floor, other than material covered by a bill of lading. |
Motorized Vehicles and Scooters
Recreational motorized/mechanical vehicles and scooters are not allowed within the facility. |
Move-In Deadline
All booths must be occupied and completely set-up by 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Viper Tradeshow Services is authorized to “force set” any display that was delivered but not set-up at this time at the exhibitor’s expense. If exhibit space is not occupied by 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, the space may be possessed by Show Management for such purposes as they see fit. Exhibitor will be billed for expenses incurred by IPC Show Management to carpet unoccupied space as a result of default in occupancy. Additional information on the move-in process can be found in the Shipping section of the manual. |
Move-Out Deadline
Dismantling and move-out of exhibits may begin following
the announcement from IPC Show Management at 4:00 pm,
Thursday, September 24, 2009. No exhibitor will be permitted to
pack or remove articles on display or any part of their exhibit
prior to the closing of the exposition. Exhibitors who fail to
comply with this rule risk being barred from exhibiting at the
following year’s event.
Due to village noise restrictions, freight will not be loaded out on Thursday, September 24. Only hand-carried items can be removed from the show floor on Thursday evening. DO NOT schedule your carrier for pick-up on Thursday evening as trucks will not be loaded. Neither IPC nor Viper Tradeshow Services will be responsible for any wait time charges incurred by exhibitors from their carriers if they arrive for load out on Thursday evening. All hanging signs will be removed Thursday evening. In-booth can also be scheduled for Thursday. The Marshalling Yard will open at 6:00 am on Friday, September 25. All freight load-out will take place Friday, September 25. Review the Shipping section for complete details.
IPC Show Management has the right, without incurring any
liability for damage or loss, to order, at the exhibitor’s expense,
the dismantling, packing and shipping of the exhibitor’s property
if the exhibitor has failed to do so in the time allotted. Any
exhibit materials remaining on the show floor at the 6:00 pm
on Friday, September 25—without a Material Handling
form turned in to Viper and a carrier on-site for pick-up—will
be forced from the floor and either returned to the advance
receiving warehouse or re-routed via the carrier of Viper’s
choosing, at the exhibitor’s expense. |
Obstructions
Exhibitors are not allowed to obstruct the view, cause injury or adversely affect the displays of other exhibitors, or of any aisles. |
Occupancy
All booths must be staffed by badged exhibitor representatives during all open exhibit hours. |
Off-Hours Booth Activity
Media briefings, demonstrations, sales meetings or any kind of event involving attendees (anyone other than booth staff) held before or after show hours must be pre-authorized by IPC Show Management.
Due to liability issues, attendees are not allowed in the exhibit hall during move-in or move-out. Private demonstrations can be held after show hours on Wednesday, and before show hours on Thursday. All attendees must be badged properly, and a badged member of your exhibit staff must escort the attendees to and from the booth.
Send requests in writing to Sarah Martino by September 16, 2009. Include a brief description of the activity, the number of people expected, your designated company representative, and the start and end time of the activity. |
Photography and Video Recording
Still photography and video recording of any exhibit or function is prohibited within the exhibit hall, meeting rooms and lobbies. This applies to both exhibitors and attendees. Show Management, the official photographer, and accredited members of the news media are exempt from this rule. Exhibitors are allowed to photograph or make video recordings of their own booth before and after show hours only. Any photography during show hours must be ordered through CGPA Photography, the official photographer for the event. |
Products/Services to be Exhibited
No exhibitor shall exhibit, or permit to be exhibited in the space allotted to him any goods or services other than those specified in the application when approved by IPC. Nor shall it exhibit or permit to be exhibited therein, displays or advertising material of any sort bearing any name or form of advertisement other than its own. |
Security
Although IPC Show Management provides 24-hour perimeter exhibit hall security from September 21, 2009 through September 25, 2009, each exhibitor is responsible for their materials, equipment, display, etc. at all times. Do not leave items of value in your booth unattended without taking security precautions. In-booth security can be ordered through the official security provider for the event, TNT Convention Services.
Remember, it is the responsibility of exhibitors to insure their property. IPC Show Management, their agents, or the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and their respective agents will not be responsible in any way for the safety of any exhibit or material against theft, fire or accident. Selling on the Exhibit Floor
Exhibitors may sell their products directly to attendees on the show floor. However, exhibitors must abide by Cook County and Illinois state laws and are solely responsible for the collection and remittance of any sales or other taxes. |
Signage and Graphics
All signage and graphics must stay within the confines of the booth and not protrude into the aisles, or into adjacent booths. Any portion of the exhibitor’s booth, including signs and graphics, must have the back side finished, and must not carry identification or other copy that would detract from the adjoining exhibit.
Hanging Signs
Hanging signs are permitted over island and peninsula booths only.
No variances will be granted for any booths. The General Service Contractor, Viper Tradeshow Services
is the exclusive provider for Hanging Signs in the Renaissance
Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center.
Exhibitors, display companies and/or I & D representatives may supervise, but will not be allowed to assemble/disassemble or install and remove the hanging sign.
Hanging signs are considered a part of the overall display, and are limited by the height restrictions for they booth type. Hanging signs for island booths are limited to 20', measured from the top of the sign to the floor. The height restriction for hanging signs for peninsula booths are limited to 16', measured from the to of the sign to the floor.
In order to insure
that the proper size of the materials to be suspended from the
ceiling of the Convention Center, Viper Tradeshow Services must
approve all plans prior to actually suspending them from the
ceiling. A Structural Integrity Statement (page 2 of the Hanging
Sign order form) must accompany any hanging sign orders,
along with the submission fee. No items(s) will be
permitted suspended from the ceiling without prior approval(s)
from Viper Tradeshow Services. Failure to obtain the proper
approval(s) prior to install could and will result in the item(s)
being terminated from the booth design and will not allowed
to be suspended. If the plans are submitted after the cut-off
date of August 31, 2009, additional fees will apply. |
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited within the facility by state ordinance. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the facility. |
Sound Levels
Mechanical or electrical devices which produce sound must be operated so as not to prove disturbing to other exhibitors. The sound/noise emanating from a booth may not exceed an average of 80 decibels as measured from mid-aisle. Show Management has the right to enforce this rule to continue to maintain a fair exhibiting environment to all exhibitors. |
Space Usage and Allocation
The space applied for is to be used solely for the exhibitor whose name appears on the contract. It is agreed that the exhibitor will not assign, sublet, or apportion the whole or any part of the space allotted. |
Storage
Storage of any kind behind back drapes, display walls or inside the display areas is strictly prohibited. All cartons, crates, containers, packing materials, etc., necessary for repackaging, must be marked with an “EMPTY” sticker, and removed by the General Service Contractor.
Literature on display shall be limited to one day's worth of product. Reserved supplies shall be kept in closed containers and stored in a neat and compact manner. |
Suitcasing Policy
IPC does not permit solicitation from non-exhibiting companies. Any individual that is observed participating in activities to solicit or sell products to event attendees and exhibitors without having a booth at the event, which is known as suitcasing, will be asked to leave immediately. Please report suitcasing activities to IPC Show Management immediately. |
Trade Publications
Trade publishers are prohibited from soliciting advertising at the exposition. They may distribute their own trade publications from their booth space, but no distribution is to be made to the exhibitors’ booths. |
Union Labor and Work Agreements
Exhibitors must agree to abide by all agreements made
between the unions, IPC, its agents and the convention center
pertaining to the use of union labor while in the convention
center. The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center is a customer-friendly facility. Viper Tradeshow Services, the General Service Contractor, is a customer-friendly company. This combination of Facility and Contractor policies allows exhibitors the freedom to either do all of their own installation and dismantling within the confines of their own booth, or to hire a non-union or union I & D Company (an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor or Viper Tradeshow Services). The only jurisdictions that exhibitors must adhere to are for the following services: material handling (if loaded from a carrier to the dock), rigging, sign hanging, electrical, plumbing & compressed air, catering, telecommunications and security.

Unfinished Display Backgrounds
Exposed, unfinished sides of exhibit backgrounds must be draped to present an attractive appearance. Inspections of the exhibits will be made during set-up and exhibitors will be advised of any violation of this exhibit rule. In the event the exhibitor is not available, Viper Tradeshow Service,s with approval of IPC Show Management, will provide draping deemed necessary and may charge the exhibitor. |
Utilities
Please note: ramping may be necessary for utility services. Electrical and telecommunications are accessed through floor ports throughout the exhibit hall, while compressed air and plumbing ports are located in the perimeter wall of the exhibit hall and will be dropped from the ceiling. Unless otherwise instructed, Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center and Viper Tradeshow Services personnel will cut booth floor coverings and display walls when required for installation of services.
Utility services will be provided during all published installation, event, and dismantle days and hours. If service is required beyond these times, 24-hour service must be ordered. All utilities and telecommunication lines will be turned off shortly after the show closes at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2009. If service is required past this time for any reason, advance arrangements must be made prior to Thursday morning at the Exhibitor Service Center.
Be sure to submit placement diagrams for any air, electrical, phone/internet lines, or plumbing services your order. This will enable personnel to properly place the ordered service in the location it is needed in your booth. Include a detailed floor plan and orientation of your booth including equipment placement.
All utility requests must meet fire department and Village
of Schaumburg approval. Permit fees may apply. |
Vehicle Displays
Automobiles or other fuel-powered vehicles of any nature must follow the following guidelines:
- Less than 1/8 tank of fuel or 5 gallons (which ever is less)
- Batteries to be removed or disconnected
- Locking gas caps or caps sealed with tape
- Ignition keys removed
- Propane tanks to be removed
- Each vehicle must be equipped with its own fire extinguisher
- Visqueen or other protective covering approved by the Cook County Fire Marshal must be placed underneath vehicle.
- Vehicles
are also considered part of the display, and are subject to the
set-back rule accordingly.
